Brief Description of the Jan. – May ’22 LCC Growth Groups
Women’s Ministry Group:
· 7 Feasts: Finding Christ in the Sacred Celebrations of the Old Testament
This study will guide you through one of the OT’s most often avoided chapters: Leviticus 23. As we dive into the sacred celebrations of Israel, we will discover how these ancient traditions reveal the beauty of Jesus Christ. This book traces the Gospel throughout each feast. It will enrich your faith as you examine and discover God’s plan for redemption expressed through His Word. It will also be a great parallel study to our Sunday messages in Hebrews beginning Feb. 20.
Men’s Ministry Groups:
· Manhood Restored: How the Gospel Makes Men Whole
Manhood will always be in crisis until Jesus returns. But in Christ, men can be restored with ever increasing glory into the undefiled image of God. This six session study leads men on a journey through masculinity, with Bible-study sessions on the problems men face, God’s solutions, and the restorations of worldview, sexuality, vision, and family.
· Kingdom Man
Tired of dragging yourself from work to home to church to bed and back again, just going through the motions? God created you for something much bigger, more exciting, more manly. God wants to use you to change the world or at least your corner of it. And He’s promised to give you everything you need to succeed. You’re not the man the enemy has convinced you that you are. You are a Kingdom man!
LCC Community Groups:
· The Mission Table, Season 2
Season 1 participation is not required or needed to join Season 2. A short video conversation led by prominent Mission thinkers will help us tackle critical and controversial topics impacting missions today. Be prepared to be changed and to ask important questions in regards to our role in reaching the nations with the Gospel. Join us in our home for Kenyan chai, coffee, and good fellowship!
· “Go Fish”
This study explores the motivation behind sharing our faith. Discover God’s heart for those who don’t know Him and the role we can play in introducing others to Him. We will learn how to equip ourselves with tools to help make sharing our faith a natural part of life. Great follow up to “The Gospel” series.
· Uniquely You: Young Families/Young Adults
The goal of Uniquely You is to help you grow, mature, and thrive according to your God-given personality and spiritual gifts. This is the group for you if you’ve been wondering how God can use you and your personality to be a blessing to those around you and to our church. It is primarily aimed at young families and young adults, but anyone is welcome to attend.
· God’s Wilderness Boot Camp
Just like the military here, we voluntarily choose to serve in God’s army. We have to be trained, disciplined and molded the way needed to serve our King the way He intended. The wilderness is the place God chooses repeatedly as the testing grounds. We will learn from six different Biblical characters who went through their wilderness experiences and also from the wilderness experiences of those in the group. Not all that go through boot camp graduate.
